ABOUT THIS CLASS
Bring a hearty American-style breakfast favourite into your own kitchen with Homemade 7-Up Biscuits & Sausage Gravy!
In this live interactive cooking class, you'll cook right alongside Chef Dez as we make incredibly easy 7-Up Biscuits from scratch, followed by a rich, savoury homemade sausage gravy to spoon generously over the top.
We'll start with the biscuits, where you'll learn one of the most important secrets to successful biscuit making: how to work the dough just enough without overworking it. Chef Dez will show you how to bring the dough together, shape it by hand, portion it into biscuits, and bake them in melted butter for wonderfully tender centres and those irresistible crispy, buttery bottoms.
While the biscuits bake, we'll turn our attention to the Sausage Gravy. You'll learn how to properly brown breakfast sausage, season it with thyme and freshly ground black pepper, cook flour into the sausage mixture, and gradually incorporate milk to create a smooth, creamy gravy without lumps.
Along the way, Chef Dez will explain the techniques behind what we're doing, answer your questions live, and show you how a handful of everyday ingredients can be transformed into serious comfort food.
This isn't just a demonstration. You're cooking the entire breakfast right alongside Chef Dez!
By the end of class, you'll have a pan of warm, buttery homemade biscuits and approximately 3Β½ cups of rich sausage gravy ready to ladle over them.
